11:00am Sunday 12th February 2012
FUNDRAISERS in Dorset are being urged to aim high and take part in a charity abseil.
The Harbourview 110ft Abseil is being organised by disability charity Diverse Abilities Plus, which supports children and adults and their families throughout their life, and takes place on Sunday, May 13 at Poole Quay.
It will take place on one of the highest flat wall buildings in Poole and participants can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Poole Harbour.
Sharon Wells, events officer at Diverse Abilities Plus, said: “By taking part in the abseil event you will be helping to provide invaluable support to local children and adults with profound disabilities.
“No experience is needed to take part, just lots of enthusiasm. Places are limited for this once in a lifetime event, therefore it is advisable to sign up as soon as possible.”
Entry is £10 per person which contributes towards administration costs and is non refundable.
Teams of four can enter for £30.
Each participant is asked by the charity to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship monies.
The minimum age is eight years and all children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
